Hiking to Peñón de Ifach natural park

The magical place you will find in Calpe city. Calpe is a small city but very beautiful and people from all over Europe love to visit and stay at this place. Even now during pandemic time you will see a lot of tourists visiting!

For sure the most popular activity here is climbing the rock - hiking to the Peñón. It is a beautiful natural park with a lot of seagulls and many other birds, also interesting plants, especially beautiful in spring time.

To get here is not complicated. You will find small car parking right at the entrance to the park, very comfortable. So park your car over here, grab comfortable clothes and shoes, and dive into adventure! Sure thing, grab some water with you because it will get hot.

So about hiking and climbing Penon de Ifach. It has a height of 330 meters. First part until the tunnel is easy to access but after the tunnel... it begins a climbing part, where you should be typo careful, because last year one person did fall down, scary.

We were climbing this mountain in crazy heat +27°C to +30°C, 2020, August 23, it was damn hot! But at this day many people was climbing the mountain, guess all are tired from pandemia time and don't care anymore what to do as long as they get to do it. :D

If you decide to sign up for this madness, you will have to walk and climb 3km up and then 3km down. On the next day you will feel all your muscles in the right places!

But if I have to be serious then this is an amazing experience! Views are totally worth it, pictures from up there are marvelous! And if you have a great company with you as I did then it is becoming even more fun!

P.S Later after this adventure we went to a nice fish restaurant in Calpe then an ice cream place which is also sooo tasty there. After that I went home and I could not open my home door lol. So I had to wander around for 4h to get back home , even got myself a new juice squeezing machine! :D
