Vilnius, Lithuania ‘2015

So in that year I was traveling several times to the Vilnius city because I was fixing my vision - eyes by laser surgery. This time it was my 2nd visit right after laser surgery. My eyes were not OK yet, I could not drive myself and I had to wear glasses all the time because I could not look at the sun. You will see in the pictures that I am closing my eyes a lot.

So Lithuania around Baltic countries got the best eye surgery clinic - “New Vision”. Prices here are also very reasonable and they were located right in the center of Vilnius. About 5 hours drive from Riga and this is it, you are in a different country!

Here I just wanted to share some photos with me and my friends wandering around Vilnius while waiting for an appointment at “New Vision”. Somehow it was a freaking hot day, even though it was only June 8, usually at this time it is not so hot in Baltic countries yet.

A little bit about Vilnius

Vilnius is worth visiting! Here in the center of the city in Medieval Town you will see baroque architecture and walk cobblestoned streets which makes your eyes wander all around. I love walking around this town in the daytime but also in the evening it is charming.

Then Vilnius Cathedral is a pretty beautiful building to check out. The 16th-century Gate of Dawn is really cool and gives a special atmosphere to this town, must see! Definitely have to visit Gediminas Castle Tower. I have been here several times and always love to come back. You can see all of Vilnius city from top of the tower.

It is a short trip. Later I will share another Vilnius trip which was more propper and we were coming here specially to see this town. Today it is just a slight overview. :)
