Vilnius 2-gun shooting match

I have been to Vilnius several times because this country is pretty close to me and in general I like Baltic countries.This time I had really short trip to Vilnius but I still managed to make few photos for you and also will share nice restaurant place with some tasty traditional dishes.

So restaurant name is “Medininkai”. It is also History house - since 1975 but originally (15th-16th century) building. Atmosphere there is special, original ceiling, dark stained wood furniture, and light textures. The The remaining refurbished brick walls were complemented by ceramic tile floor (thought now floor is mainly from wood) . Medininkai restaurant interior has long been like a good taste in an old building standard.

In Medininkai restaurant I did order “Granny’s wild mushroom soup in a bread loaf” this is one of Lithuanian traditional dishes -must try, I think it is very tasty! (picin album)

Another Lithuanian traditional dish I Usually take is “cepelinai” it is kind of like big dumplings are made from grated and riced potatoes and stuffed with ground meat or dry curd cheese or mushrooms. So named because their shape resembles that of a Zeppelin airship. BUT this time they didn't have any cepelinai and I had to order something else.

So i did order “Lithuanian Catfish with steam vegetables”.and OMG this was just so good, I cant explain you have to try or at last see! (pic in album)

And the main reason why I did go to Lithuania, Vilnius city was because there was happening “2-gun shooting match” and I never seen it before in real. And as you probably already know I love shooting myself and do some practice sometimes. So for me this was very edifying, to watch how people behave in stress situation and how they deal with it, also the way they shoot the targets and encountered problems (situations) during the match, everything is very interesting and exiting! Plus I got to see big rifles close and even touch and hold them in hands!

Now when I am back home I can go back to shooting rage and keep practicing. :)
