New Year 2019 – Benidorm Palace

During 2005 year Benidorm Palace carried out its latest great refurbishment inside and outside the premises. This building turned into one of the most admired and most photographed buildings in Benidorm.

Starting from May 2015, Benidorm Palace welcomes Q. This new show, starring music, dance, magic, humour and Queen can be seen every Tuesday.

My experience and thoughts

It is first year I celebrate New Year in Spain. I thought that would be great Idea as I moved here now so I decided to celebrate it in city I’m living - Benidorm. I did celebrate in “Benidorm Palace” it is beautiful building from outside and also from inside and it made specially for shows and different events. One of the reasons why I went to celebrate to Benidorm Palace was that my relatives told me it will be fun, good food and great show (cabaret dancers with naked breasts) so I did sign up for it.

I have to say that I did like it pretty much all but naked cabaret dancers I didn't see :( it seems like they did more poor programm this year after all. Some shows was cool to see some not at all. Maybe because I already saw something like this and even better on a ferry Riga - Stockholm.

Party did start at 8:30 PM . When walked in the palace Santa helpers gave everyone some shiney bags with some stuff in it and then we went to the tables.

Atmosphere was nice, christmasy live music, lots of people - mainly families. We ended up sitting with some spanish couples which was also nice because I could practice more spanish language and they was friedly.

During the evening got 4 different dishes (foagra, soup, langust, beef ) plus 2 deserts(some drink and coffee dessert). Food was tasty and well made. Drinks was also on the table - red wine, white wine and rosato.

When till new year left about 15 min everyone opened shiney bags and everyone in then could find a hat, shiney hair, nose, mask, party pipes and party tape plus everyone would have different things. Also all that had to put on right before 00:00, everyone ended up looking very funny! I ended up looking like a gentleman, with tie and hat, haha just sooo me!

Everyone also received a mug - present from Benidorm Palace. In mug was a bag with 12 grapes in it. Those 12 grapes are for making wishes right before new years in last 12 seconds. Every second eat one grape and make one wish. I have to be honest, this is hard and good if can make 2 or 3 wishes lol.

After new year could go dancing. Different bands and singers went on stage and party was going on. That is pretty cool. People seemed to enjoy.

Ticket price for all this event was 180 EUR from a person. It is fairly good one.

Will I come back to Benidorm Palace?

I guess not really because:

• I wasn't impressed by show itself, not all as professional as I would expect.
• Also I already saw how spanish meeting new year in Benidorm Palace so this is not a surprise for me anymore.
• Public was more like around 70 years old some was even 90 yo I suppose. Felt like penshion party lol!
• Most disappointing (haha) no naked cabaret dancers as been promised.

But for first time if never been it is interesting still. ;)
