Mdina Malta

I traveled all Malta island on a City Bus (you know those red ones you meet almost in every big city across the world). Had just 2 days to drive around with a bus so I made sure to stop at most interesting spots!

Mdina is city is one of the most visited cities on Malta because this place will not look like any other. It is a major tourist attraction city which is recognized across the world. So I decided not to miss it too.

Mdina is a small city which used to be the capital of Malta. The Normans arrived in 1091, and you can see their influence in architecture throughout the city. At this time, Mdina was made the capital of Malta — it had high enough walls to keep an eye on seas and protect inland location.

Mdina got small population - only 300 people but it might be because it is such a small town - only 0,9 km 2. In this city you will find Norman, medieval and Baroque architecture, very narrow cobblestone streets, largest squares, gardens and beautiful panoramic views that are stretching out to the sea.

Very interesting to check details here in the city. Pay attention to narrow streets, walls, doors, little shops (I shared all of those in my photo gallery).
