La Trucha, farm of trout – Villarluengo, Spain

We drove out from Alicante at 7 AM. Spent about 5h on the road but it was fun because scenery changing all the time and that is very interesting to see.

On the way we stopped to take some photos of beautiful scenery and one of the really impressive places was Òrgans de Montoro. Unbelievable what geological forces have been at work here. Hard to believe that such a location is not widely known. This is certainly one of the top locations.

We are in Villarluengo (Teruel), in the Alto Maestrazgo in Teruel.

Got to the hotel at afternoon and parked car in ex horse stable, very unusual but cool! The Hostal de la Trucha is located in the countryside. It’s located in a building that previously served as the home of the national mint and textile factory. Hostel has 54 rooms, some of them familiar, and also has two rural apartments for 6 people. All rooms are decorated with Castilian furniture and have a full bathroom, heating and telephone.The Hotel is close to the historic center of the city and since Benavente is a small place, everything is within walking distance. Currently this hotel - La Trucha is completely surrounded by nature. You will live near the city of Organos de Montoro, fabulous waters, blue sky, lush vegetation at the head of the Pitarque river.

Why we went to La Trucha?

Because there are many reasons to visit it:

Place surrounded by beautiful nature, it is calm and relaxing if you are tired from noisy cities then La Trucha is perfect place.
The setting is magic, small river surrounded by Aragon(region) nature and impressive mountains.So make sure to take a walk down the river, it’s amazing.
Visit the fish farm! There you will see a lot of trout fish, different sizes and also will have a chance to catch one.
Activities at fish farm place - Fishing, playing mini golf, arrow shooting, check domestic birds.
Try Restaurant at the hotel is great and they make really tasty trout and some other home made food.
At hotel can do a lot of this: billiard, tv, bar, swimming pool, barbecue, tennis, terrace, library. Good company and table games would be a great idea too.
Water activities: Canoeing - Kayaks, Fishing, Canyoning.
Terrestrial activities: Climbing, Mountain biking - Mountain biking, Mushroom picking, Hiking - trekking, Gastronomic routes, Horse riding, Multi adventure, Caving

Some of these things I tried myself and it was really fun but this you can see on my photos. ;)

Place is amazing, very unusual, decorated with goat sculptures ( because they have a lot of mountain goats around) and have own style. Highly recommending this place plus you can see so many cool cities on the way to it and around it. I feel like I have to come back for more.

P.S If you planning for a visit it is better if you get some spanish vocabulary because here nobody speaks english.
