Forum Romanum

The site, which was originally an Etruscan burial ground, was first developed in the 7th century BC, growing over time to become the social, political and commercial center of attention of the Roman empire.

The Roman Forum, also known by its latin name Forum Romanum (Italian: Foro Romano). It also is a rectangular forum (plaza) surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city did call this space, originally as a marketplace, the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum.

Forum was the center of the city for time ago. Here was happening elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiator matches, and the nucleus of commercial affairs. Very busy heart of ancient Rome has been called the most celebrated meeting place in the world, and in all history. Forum today is a wide ruin of architectural fragments and intermittent archaeological excavations attracting a lot of tourists yearly.

Roman Forum definitely is an interesting place, somehow it reminds me of Ancient Greece a lot, only smaller. So makes you think that Romans could take ideas from Ancient Greece originally. Sculptures, temples, theatres looks exactly the same as in Greece, smaller by size but same. Maybe that is why I wasn't so surprised when I saw Rome, because before I visited Athens, Delphi ,Sparta and also some islands in Greece.

Rome is still amazing and there is way much more to share, this I will do later. :)
