China, Beijing, Forbidden City

When I was there - even despite the stuffy air, the heaps of tourists and the desire to quickly get somewhere into the cold cellar underground, hiding from the heat of hell - even with all that the adversities forgotten, and involuntarily you can feel the invisible presence of both - the Gods and spirits of the Emperors, who ruled here.

In general, the Forbidden City is the main attraction of Beijing. It was the imperial palace for 491 years: 24 rulers of the Ming and Qing dynasty ascended to the throne and ruled the country.

The Forbidden City is built in the center of Beijing on the north-south axis, on which stands the throne of the emperor, which symbolized: the emperor is the center of the universe, and all the lands under Heaven belong to him, and all people under Heaven are his subjects.

During the construction of the Forbidden City, the principle "Work ahead, a rear living area, ancestors in the east, and gods in the west" was used, so the emperor kept his court with ministers in front of the palace, and the rear served as the residence of the emperor, the empress, concubines and relatives.

Having been around all the streets and lanes, having walked absolutely ALL (!!!) palaces and houses, I finally got to the cafe and ordered myself a deserved coffee with cream and jam. My legs were terribly sore, I spent almost the whole day there.

But it was worth it - Forbidden City - it's something beyond reach, Legend, which manifested itself in this reality!

If you are in Pekin one day,make sure you visit this place. Also if you are nordic person like me, try to avoid summer hot weather because even in may it was already very very hot!
