If you had just one day to visit Carmel, what would you do? What would you check? What would you eat? Where would you go?
I did some research and did add few things from my own experience.
Here's a little bit of guiding for you:
FOR SHOP FANS
Visit the Carmel Plaza Shopping Center because it truly embodies the spirit of the town: It's quaint, cute, and aesthetically pleasing. Every floor of the shopping center is absolutely gorgeous and the architecture really gives off that old-town vibe. The best time to go is during winter afternoons when Christmas decorations and lights illuminate the entire plaza.
FOR ADVENTURE SEEKERS
One of top activities in the Monterey Peninsula, Point Lobos State Natural Reserve offers superviews views of Carmel Bay. Here, you'll be able to spot sea lions! The entire park is small and easily to walk around in a day. Parking is free on the street (otherwise $10 in the lot), and it's only 10 minutes south of Carmel.
FOR TOURISTS
Monterey Peninsula, the 17-Mile Drive must see! This tourist attraction provides a whirlwind tour of 21 of the most scenic and beautiful locations along the Monterey Peninsula. Also about $10 for admission pales in comparison to the experience you'll get.
FOR HISTORY HUNTERS
Carmel Mission is the place to be. This historical gem will give you an educational and transformative experience. It's about $10 to enter.
