Andorra, La Vella

So! La Vella city is the capital of Andorra country. A beautiful city which is located in the middle of Perinees mountains as all Andorra country. Andorra itself got 7 provinces. And Andorra got only 2 borders - Spain in the south and France in the north.

Why to visit Andorra La Vella?

1. See very unique statues and sculptures around the city!

Everywhere you go in this city you will meet different statues. Statues may be convey social, religious, or might give other messages.

One of the most interesting is Noblesse du Temps - it is unusual sculpture, it is also known as “the Nobility of Time” or “the Dali Clock”. It interpret melting clock with statues around it.

2. Visit Duty free small market - “13th Street Market!

Here you will find duty free products such as alcohol and cigarettes and might be some others. (picture is in my gallery in front of this market) Shopping here is actually a big thing, on a main street you will find a lot of shops with cool items which are significantly cheaper. ranging from designer clothes and shoes, perfumes, jewellery, to mobile phones and its items, laptops, bottles of spirits and vintage wines, artisan chocolates, and more. Just amazing!

3. Visit Caldea!

Caldea is a spa resort in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra.

This is one of the main attractions if not Nr1 attraction in whola Andorra! It is Europe's largest SPA resort, got 18 floors and is the tallest Andoras building!

4. Walk along river Gran Valira!

The Gran Valira is the largest river in Andorra. It flows through the capital, Andorra la Vella.

It is beautiful to walk along this river. It is a very fast river so makes a lot of noise. But here you can make a lot of beautiful pictures and enjoy the houses and the nature around it.

5. Visit restaurant “el Ccachirulo”!

This is trury cool place which is not on the main street of la Vella and that is probably the reason why it is so good. Found it thanks to reviews of people and place was really cool.

Specifically place is popular for its snail dishes. And I have to say they are very tasty, you might start loving them after visiting this place even if you didn't before. But sure here you can find all sorts of different dishes too, Staff is amazing, very friendly and welcoming, on the main street I didn't experience such good service.

6. Check la Vella at night!

Just as every city will be looking different in the dark. La vella also is very beautiful at night so it is worth it to go and take a walk on the main street. Everywhere are beautiful backlights, very pleasant atmosphere.

7. Thing you can not visit anymore!

There used to be Panoramic wheel right in the middle of La vella (in center) . From there used to be possible to see nice views of this city but it was 5 years ago and now they are building there something else. Guess we will see what it will be in the future.
